The debut of FWACATA #1 a collection of Shorts by Juan Navarro

Miami-Based Stories by a Latino Creator 

Miami, Florida: Juan Navarro today announced the FWACATA series, a new quarterly comic book of his own making. FWACATA #1 is a smattering of different stories he’s been working on over the last couple of years that came tighter after the COVID lockdown into one book. What does the title mean?

“An interjection of Cuban Spanish origin is used when someone else smacks their head on something, falls, or otherwise causes themselves pain accidentally, particularly if you foresaw it happening. Likened to “wham.” says Juan, the Miami-born creator. “Being a Latino Comic creator, what better sound effect to use to introduce comics from that perspective.” 

With his previous works like  VIGIL, Zombie Years, and Tommy with Creature Entertainment, while having done covers for Image Comics, Dynamite Entertainment, and more, he decided to go into self-publishing with this anthology of comics FWACATA!

Juan recently finished INKTOBER and will be putting out a zine for it on there with more works coming soon!
